Very much enjoyed the whole set.

I does love me some 6mm WW2 battlefield reports! With tastey pictures too. Many thanks for posting it all.

A question burns in my interest -- I have looked at the close-up pic you chose to post here (second image in this particular AAR), and observe that the German motorcycle troops are mounted 2-to-a-motorcyle (in addition to the side-car). If I have that observation correctly, can you please tell me what vendor provides these two-to-a-motorcycle troops? I have not found any in my searching …

Thanks Mark, very much appreciated!

The motorcyclists are from Baccus: link

I think Peter will swap out the Kubelwagen's for extra bikes if you request.

A bit slow in my reply, but thanks for the pointer, Ww.

As you have direct experience with those figures (presuming they were in your collection at gametime), can you tell me if the side-cars are provided separately, to be added to the cycles, or cast together with the cycles.

My questions come from the long-term (as in decades now) interest I have in building an Italian motorcycle-mounted force. The Italians made relatively broad use of motorcycles in their reconnaissance units, within their "auto transportable" infantry divisions, within their "fast (ie: cavalry)" divisions, and in their "Bersaglieri" units. But side-cars were rare in the Italian forces. Most often, motorcycle troops were mounted 2 per cycle. I have looked for a long time to try to find (or figure out how to kit-bash) tandem riders on motorcycles at 6mm, with no success to date. Hence my interest in the figures you have shown.

Of course they (the Italians) also made reasonably wide use of "Trialce" tricycles. But given the lower numbers of tricycles compared to tandem motorcycles, I can perhaps kit bash up a few if I feel I really need them.

Anyways, thanks for the pointer.

Hi Mark,

The cycles and the sidecars are cast separately.

Ww:

Thanks! Sounds like I should be grabbing some up and giving it a go.

Avanti!
