Good gaming genre at any scale. Your 1/72 are very nice. |

I'm fortunate to have built a considerable collection of 28's when they were affordable. Mostly Essex, quite a few of the lovely Hinchliffe that benefited from fresh tooling, and small numbers of the others that were offered 30 years ago. It took awhile for 15's to improve enough to invest the time and effort painting them but ultimately I have more 15's because if they were good figures and I bought them for the enjoyment of painting them. So ECW dominates my collection in both scales. The number of really fine manufacturers is a real benefit for current hobbyists. |

I have masses (and masses) of mostly unpainted 15mm Minifigs (2nd Generation – simple poses, cavalry at rest on walking horses) which I plan* to turn into a series of armies that will represent pretty much every force from each side and every time frame within the wars. For some reason, Minifigs had the entire range "re-sculpted" (which, to my mind, was cultural vandalism) into more "dynamic" poses – eg pikemen trotting whilst waving their pikes in the air – that are not in the least bit representative of the period. (*one day, brothers (and sisters) – one day!!!) |
