The End of the year and I finished as to be expected well in the red. Despite believing that 10mm will paint faster the other side is that it's easier to buy more. 648 of the bought were 10mm while only 204 of the painted were 10mm. I had five months of no painting and seven months of zero purchases. Interpreting the data in a positive way keeps things upbeat.

I've a preorder for some figures coming in early this year and a gift card burning a hole in my pocket so we'll see how 2025 goes.

Second consecutive year with a reduction, though minor, in the lead pile.

Bought 30 exosuits

Painted

13 Saxon huscarls
10 Persian spearmen
12 Confederate dismounted cavalry
Total 35- 30= +5 for the month
PYTD +189 +5 = +194 YTD

Happy New Year to all and good luck with your goals for 2025.

In a desperate effort to make 2024 work out a bit better as far as painting goes, I spent until five minutes till midnight painting away. Well, it did help, but 2024 is still not going to be a great year for me.
Here are the stats:
Purchased: 21 figures
Painted: 11 figures (including the seven "barbarian berserkers" I finished last night)
So, for the month I bought 10 more than I painted.
For the year, things look a little better:
Purchased: 223
Painted: 237
So, that's a 14-figure divot out of my pile of unpainted figures. Adding the six figures I sold/traded off makes things a little better, but not much.
Maybe 2025 will be a better year.

Another bad month ass expected, my family outdid themselves in buying figures for me. Unfortunately I got carried away getting my spreadsheet read for 2025 and deleted the December numbers before writing them done anywhere. January will be another bad month as I am preparing to send m early order to Old Glory. But it will give plenty to paint until April.

YTD
Bought =1738
Painted =2448
Total =710

While updating m spreadsheet I noticed I have had only a few years where I have painted less than I bought(which is good) But I must have had quite the pile 9 years ago.
My numbers over the last 9 years:

Bought =18273
Painted = 15223
Total =2964

Got (present) 13 Napoleonic 28mm French Hussars

Painted (20mm) four Kubelwagons, 4 Horch field cars, 3 Sdkz 251 Half Tracks, 2 Grille 150mm SP infantry guns and 3 20mm flak guns

So I guess a little ahead on the painted side

ecaminis Those are some impressive numbers. Since October of 2016 when I started the pledge I've only painted 2,873 miniatures. I don't have a grand total for bought, but I probably started with a lead pile of approximately 3-4,000.

Its been a strange year. Haven't painted anything since February, though I have purchased a small number of miniatures through the year since.

For December: 0 painted, received 10 laser cut buidings.

For 2024:
Painted 123
Received 176
