In looking over the Warlord website I am recanting my previous position that their pricing is in the middle of the pack. £18.00 GBP for a pack of 8 metal foot figures. That is higher than Foundry! Plus, for international orders, they mark up their figures by another minimum 20%. I can always order Warlord packs through other sellers but it seems that they've decided to maximize prices at the cost of volume. Just saying. |

They definitely have raised their prices which is why I am glad that I was able to purchase a number of items from them years ago before the prices went up. |

Me too. I got all I need from them years ago. 🤷 |

I've bought and sold off several of their armies. I think I'm going to stay with 1/72 from now on. |

Any company that wants to pad their profit margins via "regional pricing", unreasonable prices and/or excessive P&P can go broke, as far as I'm concerned. The hobby is big enough now to survive the loss of greedy companies. |

I have also purchased all that I will ever need or want. I supported their special figure but that will be my final purchase. They were a great company to deal with i itially, but I get dinged every single time by Canada Cuatoms and their ridiculous fees on top of the price increases. |

Its like GW and Mantic. They get too popular, it's probably easier to cut some customers out instead of trying to supply demand. The price rise will compensate its own losses. Its probably easier to raise the price of old sprues that prove popular, with the profit give and take I mentioned, as opposed to having them all sell out and have to recast and warehouse another batch. This may be common with plastic, as batches would usually be large to facilitate a cheap cost to manufacture. This then leaves room for new designs and, when the old stock eventually depletes, it will be a good time to design new ones from scratch. |

Only buy when they have sales and stuff that I can use. Make sure to hit the free shipping minimum, also ! |

I've rarely found anything I've wanted from Warlord. I did buy a load of their, ridiculously small, EIR in the early days but got rid of them along time ago. I have a few of their plastic Napoleonic French but honestly Perry plastics are nicer and general better value. I picked up some sort of, heavily discounted, army set, for one of the factions from the Gates of Antares game, but only because I thought it would make a good Xenos Rampant army. I think if you aren't playing Warlord's games (or even if you do) the miniatures don't hold a lot of appeal and there are better and cheaper miniatures out there. |

I try to catch them on sale and order enough to get the free shipping. I expect them to increase in price for the US consumer again depending upon the potential tariffs that may be coming soon. |

I hate the Warlord Metals. They should move to all plastic. Take the $166 USD US Army (Winter) Starter Army. It's good and probably more or a starter than a Games Workshop $168 USD Combat Patrol. Some the specialists are metal 🤮. They should do a sprue of officers et al. |
Stosstruppen | 01 Jan 2025 8:22 a.m. PST |
Their regularly priced stuff is crazy. I usually wait for sales (sprue, Black Friday, Mystery Box), or look for sets on eBay. Many retailers sell discounted sets on eBay. |
Grattan54 | 01 Jan 2025 9:56 a.m. PST |
Never bought from them. I am not into plastic so that is one reason why. |
TimePortal | 01 Jan 2025 3:05 p.m. PST |
I will not re-price the Napoleonic 28mm, Bolt Action vehicles or Epic Napoleonics. They will remain discounted for the 2025 season. |

The old TMP trope of "Yet another company from Nottingham charges too much!" If we want their product, we'll buy it. 🤷 I'm just the same. I have a strange mindset that the "not Jack Palance" or "not Lee Marvin" figure isn't as expensive as an Ultramarine Apothecary. That makes it okay. My only interest in Warlord is FIW, or Plains Indians. I never bought direct, but off eBay and American distributors. Very nice figures. I'm only "missing" Crazy Horse and Gaul. But I think I can survive. I am sure that there are those of us who can purchase MANY 36 figure metal regiments of their products, but those times are past for me. In the near future, Old Farts will probably reminisce along the lines of "Damn! Those are expensive figures! Do you remember when a blister of 6 only cost $18 USD?" (Or £18.00 GBP?) Inflationary times render prices transitory. |

By the way, I'm already compiling shopping lists from several manufacturers for Shane, True Grit, Deadwood, Tombstone (several choices there!) and so on. I have Last of the Mohicans pretty well covered. It's not like I'm collecting figures for the 17th Foot. Right? RIGHT??? |

If we want their product, we'll buy it. If you notice my original comment OFM, I was recanting my former position where I argued that Warlord was in the middle of the pack with respect to pricing. Now I see they are at the high end of of the figure pricing matrix. Personally, I will do everything possible to avoid Warlord's prices. A couple of friends of mine have bought 3d resin printers and I have seen the quality of what they are putting out. It is very impressive. The Medbury prints look especially good. |

Now I see they are at the high end of of the figure pricing matrix. Personally, I will do everything possible to avoid Warlord's prices. I don't think we are in disagreement. My primary Warlord products are in fact the original Conquest Indians. Except for the newer Plains Indians, I had everything I needed, from Conquest. The Seminoles are nice. I think I have a pack or two, but there's always the much more reasonably priced Old Glory figures, which are of comparable quality. Here's main issue with me. Unless I buy plastics, which I find incredibly annoying to assemble, Warlord is unsuitable for amassing multi battalion armies. That's just me. You do you. I am assembling the crowd in a Marty Robbins El Paso cantina. No way can I justify buying battalions of floozies or Faro players. 😄 So I pay higher prices for trollops and piano players. Should I bitch about paying a premium price for Lili von Schtoop? (She's tired…) If I "need" her, I will order from Knuckleduster. But I can hardly expect to pay Old Glory prices for a battalion of Lilis. She can wait, but I got a Mariachi band from Brigade Games, which includes Felina. Knuckleduster has another Wicked Felina. What the heck. I now have two faithless women. I am thinking about expense of manufacturing here. It costs just as much to sculpt the master for Hank the bartender as it costs for Private Smith of the 17th Foot. Ditto the mold. Yet, a manufacturer will make maybe 75 total copies of Hank, and maybe 30,000 of Smith. So, of course Hank will be more expensive. As will Lili, Felina, Sheriff Bullock and Shane. My very first Hawkeye was a FIW militia figure. Conquest had a more "accurate" depiction. Magua was a random FIW Indian. Now, I can buy at least 2 more accurate, and more expensive figures. Your choice, your money. |

"Some the specialists are metal 🤮. They should do a sprue of officers et al." Or perhaps they should make the troops metal? |
John the OFM | 02 Jan 2025 5:01 a.m. PST |
"They" should do whatever "they" think will bring about the best return on investment. If "they" think an officer sprue is a waste, then "they" won't. |
rustymusket | 02 Jan 2025 3:25 p.m. PST |
I binged on Epic Pike & Shotte and now I look at Warlord prices and decide I don't really need that whether it is Epic Punic War or metal F&I figs. We will see what the future brings but Perry or Foundry will be first choice when considering costs. Best of luck for any company in the business. |
John the OFM | 02 Jan 2025 5:53 p.m. PST |
ONG! A disturbance in the Force! Foundry being touted as economical! Boy, have times changed. 😄 |
20thmaine | 03 Jan 2025 10:39 a.m. PST |
Foundry are cheaper than minifigs these days. Strange but also true. They used to be about twice the price IIRC. It's a bizarre wargame figure pricing world we live in. |
Marcus Brutus | 03 Jan 2025 12:23 p.m. PST |
I was looking at the pricing of Minifigs on their website and the pricing seems to be, on average, 1.75GBP per figures which would make them slightly less expensive that Foundry (at 2.00GBP per figure). Of course, the quality difference is pretty significant. |
20thmaine | 03 Jan 2025 1:57 p.m. PST |
I was just looking at regular soldier packs – 8 infantry for £14.00 GBP But you are right, they are more or less comparable. My mistake. That's still weird though. |
Marcus Brutus | 04 Jan 2025 5:46 p.m. PST |
That's still weird though. Completely agree. |
