"The old saying may be true: What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. At least that's the case for human civilizations across 30,000 years of history, according to a new analysis published May 1 in the journal Nature. The study found that, across the globe, ancient human societies that experienced more setbacks were also quicker to bounce back from future downturns.

"The more often a population experiences disturbances or downturns, the more likely it is to be able to recover faster the next time around," study leader Philip Riris, an archaeologist at Bournemouth University in the U.K., told Live Science…"

You'll find most technological advancements stem from war.

Stainless steel was discarded attempts at making gun barrels.

Microwaves from radar.

Space age ala can't display their flag anymore.

Modern computers due to code breaking.

Console games from military pong.

SUVs from hummers.

Fanta from, you can't even salute Fanta anymore.

There's not a lot that can't be traced back to war.

Also watched a thing on you tube about how we are older than most people who ever lived, worth a srearch and a watch. Most people died very young. So that plays into the direction things go.

Yeah, I'm calling Bleeped text on that one, having barely survived food poisoning this week. It's going to be a looong time before before I'm back to anything near normal, much less 'stronger'… :-(
