Whle my experience with 600 scale aircraft is limited, I have observed that Pico and Tumbling Dice models are subtly dissimilar in scale terms. Tumbling models are a bit "beefier."

This is unlikely to be a discernable issue vis a vis Wildats v. Mavis, but you might want to avoid mixing Nells from the 2 companies.

Just sayin'.

Darryl
On the way to Vietnam we landed at Wake to refuel. It is a tiny group of islands. I look forward to seeing the results. H (6th OVI).

Exeter – I have all the Nells I need from Pico if I decide to do 1/600. I also have the Buffaloes and Wildcats. I would buy Pico's Zeros, Vals, and Kates for consistency, but the Mavis would have to be from Tumbling Dice as Pico (Oddzial Osmy) does not make the Mavis. I have found $5.00 USD 1/285th scale Nells for just $5.00 USD each if I wanted to go larger, but then the Mavis would be six pounds from H&R, and the quality is lower on the H&R planes/ The other 1/300 or 1/285 companies charge about $15.00 USD per Mavis, so that would be 30 bucks just for a pair of those. Add in six Zeros, nine Vals, and nine Kates…starts to get a little pricey.

Hank – I would love to visit there, but not under the same circumstances as you!

Ambitious project that will be useful over and over as there seems many what if possibilities. To me it never was a forgone conclusions

Great looking work.

I have flirted with doing a Wake Island game, but thought 10mm would be my chosen ground scale and 1200 ar sea and 300 airborne.

It never got further than paper, perusing catalogs and imaginings.
