I have started to try to unravel the mystery (in my mind, at least) which surrounds Hessian uniforms in the AWI and have to thank John the OFM for his previous lobbying in starting this board, and in particular his elucidatory comments on the Erprinz regiments.

I have used Google many times in an effort to sort out some of the details of what I was painting, but invariably it directed me back here.

To be honest, I'm looking forward to getting back to the security and relative simplicity of Napoleonic 28mm figures.
