It would be nice to try out deployments and tactics on a computer without having to get a pile of lead out of boxes and moving it all about. Assume I know nothing and wanted to play games like Art de la Guerre, Mortem et Glorian, Renatio et Gloriam. Will table top simulator do the job? Can I use 1 module to do all of these as the base sizes are compatible? I would not worry about the troop types being different only keeping to the base sizes. What is this 'steam' thing? What beyond buying Tabletop simulator and choosing download do I need to know? Would all this work out well? |

Tabletop Simulator knows nothing about game mechanics. Basically that's all up to you. You put your troops out which is simple if there are already exiiting models. ADLG was used on it extensively on Covid so there is a good stock of premade units you can use. Measuring and maneuvering units can be a little bit fiddly but should be fine for what it sounds like you want to use it for. Should work equally well for the other systems you mention. |

Madaxeman (Tim Porter) posted a number of videos usins TTS for ADLG so you can see it in action. One example is here: link The Steam Workshop (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2650840475) has modules for ADLG models, etc to use in TTS. They are free to download if I remember correctly. (I haven't used TTs for the last couple years so don't remember for sure. Chris |

Someone should make a VTT just for minis. |
