Reading through Napoleon's correspondence in the time of the occupation of Moscow, I came across a missive from Napoleon to Berthier about an order to Junot who had to consolidate the two infantry divisions in his Westphalian corps in a single division, whose organization Junot had to provide (document 19215 – "Au prince de Neuchâtel et de Wagram; Moscou, 21 septembre 1812"). I'm looking for the orders of battle or any details about the organization of that single consolidated division, if that planned reorganization of the Westphalian corps took place effectively. Thank you all for any help you can give me. |

Tharreau died on 27th September, according to a biography of von Ochs, after this day the infantry of the corps was formed into one division only, with three brigades, commanded by generals Legras, Verdun and Borstel: link After 9th November, in Smolensk, each brigade was reorganised into one battalion only: link |
