Does someone know Spanish and can point me to the full text (and also tune) of a song beginning with: Treilo , Marica , treilo ! treilo , Marica la silge el cavaljo, Morion i pica … This is the text of a song brought by a Westphalian Rittmeister from Spain. It seems the author, who learned it from the officer, didn't use the correct Spanish orthography, probably just writing it with German letters as he heard it. Source: page 142 |

I asked around a bit, the text reported by the officer was probably: Traelo , Marica , traelo ! Traelo, Marica, la silla, el caballo, morrion y pica Bring it, Marica, bring it ! Bring it, Marica, the saddle, the horse, helmet and pike ! |
