I've only just spotted this title, even though it was published 10 years ago! The reviews then were pretty good. I wondered if anyone here had read it and what they thought of it?

I read it a couple of years ago and it's interesting.

The diary itself only takes up about 30 pages with chapters by several authors putting her and her husband's Peninsular adventures into context. There's chapter about her religious beliefs and a couple about women's experiences in the British and French forces.

On the whole it's worth a read.

King Monkey – thanks for info. Sounds like something different to read than the normal battle/campaign titles and it is now on my to buy list.
