With our big show in July, I'm looking at my ECW forces with a hard eye.
The Royalist artillery seemed ordinary, so I re-based, added a few figures & a pile of Tumbling Dice artillery equipment & I think it looks more the business.

As once it unlimbers, it can't move & the shooting stats in 'Victory without Quarter' aren't great, it's a fairly useless unit. But it will look OK.

Nice looking! I don't have an issue with them not moving. That fits the period IMHO. Not sure about their stats. I picked up the Divine Right set of rules for this era and another for the WSS and SYW. Looking forward to trying them out. I need to flock my SYW 6mm and run a game. My 1/72 SYW which I own tons need way more work to be game ready.

Thanks.

John

John, have you looked at the ECW 'Victory without Quarter' rules?
I've just completed rewriting & re-formating them to suit our bigger battles – they're a great set but the original activation is far too cumbersome for large armies.

If you want a copy (+ modified QRS), please send me a PP with your email address. And if you don't want a copy, I'm sure your DR rules are excellent also.

Re: SYW. I've just finished the 3d printed Prussian cuirassier unit I had made. They are very nice.

Beautiful work! I haven't done this with my ECW or TYW artillery but have with my WSS guns and it looks great. Unfortunately I have exhausted my store of cannon balls, arty chests and gabions!

That's great about the SYW figs! I knew you'd love being able to print them up. PM'd you about the rules and QRS.

Thanks.

John
