As a slight detour from my usual work, I have put together some off the League of Augsburg, Mad for War, model ships, namely fireships that form part of their collection of marvellous models for the Anglo-Dutch period of naval warfare.
These models were painted for a friend in time for Xmas and required a slight change in technique from the larger stuff I tend to work on but were fun to do.

Very nice and informative too as before I had always assumed fireships were rafts or small single mast boats. |

I like the way the flames and sails are going in the same direction! Sometimes flames are depicted as independent entities and go whatever way they want. |

Very cool. I've never played with fire ship miniatures. I like these. BTW Yule log fire ships. ;) |
