According to numerous reports from soldiers' accounts and reports from Russian war correspondents and bloggers, North Korean troops took part in combat operations in the Kursk region of Russia for the first time. Together with Russian units attacking from other directions, the Koreans stormed the village of Plekhovo on November 11. According to Russian soldiers, the Koreans proved themselves to be well-trained and tenacious fighters. The DPRK assault soldiers covered 2 kilometers through a mined area and entered Plekhovo, engaging the enemy for 2.5 hours. The Koreans captured several streets. The enemy was completely destroyed.

That guy on the right looks like he's checking his phone….

Cuprum2 Supporting Member of TMP13 Dec 2024 5:43 a.m. PST

This photo has nothing to do with the events. There is snow in Russia now.
There is a drone video that allegedly shows the Koreans evacuating their wounded after the battle:

There are no official statements on this matter yet, but the participation of the Koreans in the assault is undoubtedly.

Is it me or does it look like they are set-up on a black blanket?

35thOVI Supporting Member of TMP13 Dec 2024 7:05 a.m. PST

Nine, I read where the NK have really become enthralled with online porn since coming to Russia. I guess they were really "repressed" at home. Could be what they are watching. 😉

Maybe the Ukrainians should leave free phones out there, with appropriate sites in the favorites. Bring NK offensives to a standstill. 😂

Nine pound round13 Dec 2024 7:10 a.m. PST

I figured somebody would get it.

35thOVI Supporting Member of TMP13 Dec 2024 8:00 a.m. PST

They all have the same password to make it easy for the NK's.

There's an online article up at Newsweek on this attack. The claims about the NKs not taking prisoners is pretty interesting.

Grattan54 Supporting Member of TMP13 Dec 2024 10:13 a.m. PST

But not surprising.

Personal logo Legion 4 Supporting Member of TMP13 Dec 2024 10:15 a.m. PST

The intel reports say Putin is going on a major offensive. Before US regime change. Pretty sure the DPRK troops would be involved.

The claims about the NKs not taking prisoners is pretty interesting.
That really no surprise if true. We were told back when I was with the 2ID, '84-'85, that we shouldn't expect them to follow the GVs, etc. They are well indoctrinated and motivated. Kill them before they kill you …

Time for France to deploy the Foreign Legion then.

Fair is fair.

Col Durnford Supporting Member of TMP13 Dec 2024 1:36 p.m. PST

Now the Russian soldiers know how the Italians felt when the German bailed them out in North Africa.

Cuprum2 Supporting Member of TMP13 Dec 2024 3:51 p.m. PST

Editor in Chief Bill, Yes, we are eagerly awaiting the French. But damn they're late. Hurry them up)))

Col Durnford, the situation has little in common. The Russians are advancing continuously. Koreans are fighting on Russian territory, not Ukraine.

"The Russians are advancing continuously."

True. But you've left out which direction they're "advancing" in.

"Koreans are fighting on Russian territory" A situation that could have been avoided if the ruscum did not try to conquer their neighbours,

Tally Ho!

Col Durnford Supporting Member of TMP14 Dec 2024 7:35 a.m. PST

So, the Norks are just fighting on Russian soil. That means they are more like the Nazis coming into Italy to protect the Italians from the allied invasion.

Not a single shell of artillery over them?…

It looks like a military exercise anywhere in the world with snow…

Well they are supposed some of the best troops in the world. But there may not be enough of them. Regardless based on the Russians and now even the NORKs combat prowess that has been demonstrated clearly. The FFL would make short order of them … As in many cases Ukraine's Forces are …

Ukraine said on Monday that North Korean units fighting for Russia sustained losses of at least 30 soldiers killed or wounded around several villages on the front in Russia's Kursk region over the weekend…

Discarded Canned meat recently arrived from North Korea…

Well the NORKs appear to be having a rough time and taking heavy losses.

As long as Putin gives Un the tech, etc. he wants … Un will still be sending warm bodies to become more causalities for Putin's War.

Dn Jackson Supporting Member of TMP17 Dec 2024 6:35 p.m. PST

Must be a proud moment for you Cuprum. Troops from a country so backward it can't feed it's own population have arrived to save the Russian army.

Last report I heard was about 40% of North Koreans are living in substandard conditions, many under fed, ill, etc. No "workers' paradise" …

35thOVI Supporting Member of TMP18 Dec 2024 12:24 p.m. PST

Legion, substandard to most countries. Compared to life in NK, probably paradise. 😉

Personal logo Parzival Supporting Member of TMP18 Dec 2024 5:45 p.m. PST

Last week I read that friendly fire incidences between Russian and Korean troops are a big problem, apparently arising from the fact that Russians don't speak Korean, and Koreans don't speak Russian.
Oops.

Personal logo Legion 4 Supporting Member of TMP18 Dec 2024 9:26 p.m. PST

substandard to most countries. Compared to life in NK, probably paradise.
Maybe that is why millions of illegal aliens have crossed our border. With more coming …

35thOVI Supporting Member of TMP19 Dec 2024 5:31 a.m. PST

Legion,

Well except for those who end up on the streets of San Francisco.

All those IPD's 💩 and discarded 💉 😉

Personal logo Legion 4 Supporting Member of TMP19 Dec 2024 12:09 p.m. PST

Good points !

I do look forward to seeing what happens when sanctuary cities and states try to interfere with the Border Czar, ICE, etc. in deporting illegal alien criminals.

Can anybody tell me who thought open borders was a good idea? … Never mind … It does actually defy logic and reason.

35thOVI Supporting Member of TMP19 Dec 2024 12:35 p.m. PST

Make an example of one mayor and the others will fall in line quickly Legion.

Personal logo Legion 4 Supporting Member of TMP20 Dec 2024 7:50 p.m. PST

I agree … as opposed to the way many legal actions are taken today. Breaking the law will only result in being back on the street within 24 hours or less.

Nine pound round21 Dec 2024 5:31 a.m. PST

Or a selective decision on who to prosecute: if the local DA and law enforcement are sympathetic, nothing; if they aren't, the full force of the law and state will hit you.

A lot of norms have been tossed aside over the last twenty years, and I suspect that a lot of people are going to be shocked to find that they violated complex and difficult-to-understand statutes, and now face prosecution for it. My lawyer likes to say, "everyone is guilty of three felonies." While I would hope the incoming administration is willing to pursue some avenue to reforming that kind of liability away, I suspect the opportunity to pursue those who misused statutes to pursue political opponents will be too tempting to miss.

Personal logo Legion 4 Supporting Member of TMP21 Dec 2024 10:15 a.m. PST

9lbs Rd. +1

Those that break the law have to know they will be punished for it. And actually, real punitive actions should be the norm. Or as we see those criminals will break the law again, and again, etc.
