Donning my tinfoil hat here.
Current POTUS very deeply resented how his legs were cut out from under him. It's quite apparent that he returned the backstabbing to current VPOTUS.
I noted earlier that it's quite obvious that FLOTUS voted … not with her party, and possibly for the Orange Man.
Current POTUS will likely pardon every Federal employee known, again as spite.
This "drone crisis" 🙄 is something very mundane, and POTUS is deliberately kicking the can down the road to land in future POTUS's lap to distract him.
He's a very bitter man, likely suffering from dementia, and is taking it out on everyone.

Joe Rogan had Ryan Graves as his guest in yesterday's episode. You may remember Graves as one of the Navy F/A-18 pilots involved in the "Go Fast" UAP disclosure from a couple of years ago and has a degree in Aeronautical Engineering. He has since become an advocate for UAP disclosure. Here are a few take aways from the interview.

1. The drone activity over NE is not a new thing, it has been going on for the last three years. This year it has intensified, with 800 – 1000 sightings.

2. Some of the drones do not exhibit IR signatures, and are able to evade radar. Graves indicates that these capabilities exceed those of our current aviation technology.

3. The drones approach from and retire to the sea, where tracking is eventually lost. There are no ships or other basing platforms in the area which are able to support them.

4. There are some reports that these are Government drones which are monitoring for Gamma radiation in efforts to locate a missing nuke. Graves discounts this as the military agencies which would be tasked to coordinate these activities are not mobilized and know nothing about it.

My two cents: There is a tendency to over-apply Occam's Razor in on-line discussions and argue that evidence for any one explanation immediately "proves" the case and eliminates all other possibilities. IMHO some of the sightings are just aircraft, some are planets, some are kids having fun with drones, and some may be something else entirely like Graves is describing. All can be true simultaneously.

Inch high, I pretty much agree. I too heard Graves as well, but different show. All of what he said are in different of my posts in this thread. I differ only you did not mention the drones that are going over our bases.I believe these are bad actors, probably Chinese as the Congressman in my last link said.

We had more over WPAFB.

We cannot have Chinese owning land next to our bases and letting Chinese enter illegally.

Inch High Guy18 Dec 2024 12:30 p.m. PST

35th – there were loads of things from the conversation which I did not mention. Flying over bases or other restricted airspace should not be tolerated, maybe we need our own drones to chase the intruders down. I don't buy the "we are worried about where the parts may fall" argument with drones any more than I did with Chinese spy balloons.

We need to take a hard look at what the Chinese are allowed to do in this country and eliminate 90 percent of it. The minimum standard should be to mirror what an American would be allowed to legally do in China

John we agree! I have been espousing dementia/Alzheimers, since before he was elected. He showed the same progressions as my father, except about 2 to 3 years behind my dad. All the same mannerisms, temperament and lack of physical aspects. All things being the same, the falls should come within the next year or so. Of course he has more people watching him.

Well here is a new angle from the news:

"A New Jersey air base said it has experienced multiple drone incursions this year by contraband smugglers attempting to sneak various items into a federal prison at the military installation.

A spokesperson for Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, which houses FCI Fort Dix prison, told Fox News Digital measures were in place to "detect, respond to and deny unauthorized drone use over our facilities, which have standing flight restrictions that prohibit unauthorized UAS operations."

"This year, there have been multiple drone detections, all involving attempts to smuggle contraband into the federal correctional institution hosted on our base, with the most recent interception occurring on September 15, 2024," the spokesperson added. "We take each case seriously and aggressively coordinate with local law enforcement to ensure the safety and security of our installation."

In the past, drones have been used to smuggle contraband into the prison, including cellphones, cellphone accessories, drugs and tobacco, weight loss supplements and other items, The War Zone reported.

Thr prison is located on the sprawling base, which spans 42,000 acres and is home to the 87th Air Base Wing. "

Bill,

"Cthulhu" is the name of the Iranian mothership. It is able to submerge and surface at will. Rumor has it, it may also be capable of flight.

After submerging it proceeds to the underwater Chinese Base of
Dà xī guó.

Your knowledge of all this is amazing. Most don't know or suspect. I was not supposed to leak this, but since you have, I can now give all the info.

You had better watch for the black SUV's around 6am any morning now.

OFM— "Mediaite"? Really? That is tin-foil hat territory. 😂

Back OT… yeah, Kirby's a hack. The man has no soul, and will say anything to back the administration's position. Unfortunately for him, the administration's position is, literally, that of a dementia patient. So Kirby falls back on the standard DOD line about anything: Deny it and defend it, simultaneously. Which, obviously, doesn't work.

I have to say, that despite thinking Mayorkas belongs in a cell next to the gang members he imported, I think he's actually telling at least part of the truth— that there has been a simple "natural progression" of commercial night time drone activity (with lights) that has risen over the last few years, aided by changes in flight regulations. So a lot of what we're seeing simply consists of people noticing drones more because there are more drones— but they're not nefarious, for the most part.
As I said earlier, it's the STOP sign effect— how many STOP signs are in your town? You'll give an estimate, and then you'll start counting them… and you'll begin to realize there are STOP signs everywhere, and your estimate is absurdly low. There aren't any new STOP signs (or only a handful); you're just now actually counting them.
And that's what's going on. New Jerseyites, who never look at the night sky (because the city lights means there's nothing to look at) are now looking up and noticing all the air activity going on. It's been going on for a while, but they simply never paid attention to it. Now they see it, and think some massive change has happened. No, there's no massive change; there's just you finally paying attention.

Which doesn't rule out that some of what they see might be bad actors— two-bit, low rent surveillance ops; or just pranksters fanning the panic for their own amusement. It just means that most of it is perfectly normal stuff, for the modern era of normal stuff.

35th – agree about Potus symptoms. I saw it especially in the eyes a couple of years ago. My dad had progressive supra nuclear palsy, somewhat rare. The eye movement is unmistakable. Linda Ronstadt has this. My dad began to fall also. This presidency has been unique because of the decline we have all seen up close with via internet and 24 hours news. Reagan escaped this level of scrutiny, we never will know how much he was affected in his last year or so in office.
But age is a concern whether we like it or not. The job adds years to the age of a POTUS. The next Prez has some issues with memory, but seems okay. Will bear watching, though. I think this job may be too intense and unrelenting for many seniors, and the question of continuing good health through four years of this when you are as old as these guys is tricky.

Woodrow Wilson is revered by Progressives, yet he was the most vile racist to ever be president.
Another reason to revere him is that after he had a massive stroke and couldn't function, his wife Edith ran things.
At least this wasn't crucial period in American history. You know, League of Nations ratification. His baby, and he couldn't deliver it.

Biden takes after Wilson.

35th – More than 30 members from both parties exceeded the market's performance in 2023, some by far more than Pelosi, who barely made the top ten. She took a loss the previous year. This problem knows no party, and the biggest windfalls go to people we have barely heard of. This will not be fixed anytime soon.

35thOVI Supporting Member of TMP19 Dec 2024 5:39 p.m. PST

Are you fellas still talking about drones or just purely a political chat? Red versus blue really generates the clicks I suppose.

I'm surprised none of you have posted about the Chinese having access to all text and voice conversations on mobile phones? Perhaps not as salacious as Iranian motherships but still a concern nonetheless.

35thOVI Supporting Member of TMP20 Dec 2024 4:06 a.m. PST

PAR you are right.

Below is a reason why I and others are very skeptical of what the government tells us about the drones.

Not sure what this is related to, if anything and if the news is accurate as it just crossed; but it said Biden and Harris are cutting their trips short and heading back to Washington. Strange and puzzling if true.

Subject: Pentagon says the number of US troops in Syria is double from previous reports

link

Prince Alberts Revenge20 Dec 2024 4:20 a.m. PST

Without knowing the details it's entirely possible they are coming back because of the impending government shutdown that Mister Musk has triggered.

As for the number of US troops in Syria, that's not surprising. We've had bases in Western Syria and I wouldn't be shocked if additional troops were sent to expand that presence after Russians left areas like Raqqa in order to deny it from ISIS (hopefully for a limited time until SDF or someone could secure it). Assad, contrary to popular belief, didn't really do a whole lot against ISIS as he focused on those rebels that were closer to the more populous (and strategically important) areas.

"Kamala abruptly cancels her planned trip to California and races back to the White House, per reporters. Biden also just suddenly returned to DC, after he was expected to stay in Delaware until after Christmas."

The original bill was 1500 pages. A pulled pork sandwich. Biden left this week for NJ, so he obviously was not concerned about the bill.

The bill as voted down yesterday was under 200 pages. There will be a third, but the democrats have said they will only vote for the "porky pig" bill.

I'm not overly concerned about a government shutdown and I'm on SS.

As to the troops. They had told us over and over there are " this many troops" now they say "well there are really this many". Not something to not have come clean about originally.

But back to drones.

2 states are now shutting down drones flying over certain air space.

Prince Alberts Revenge20 Dec 2024 6:30 a.m. PST

Yes I'm familiar with pork in spending bills… something both sides have been guilty of. Then again one man's pork is another man's necessity. The "clean bills" aren't quite as ideal as they may seem. They often constrain agencies from performing anything more than the minimal job functions and hamstring them in performing essential objectives. The devil is always in the details.

There is a balance in how much transparency government should provide. Perhaps they should make public a full and complete TO&E in Syria reflecting exact personnel numbers and equipment?

Shutting down air space sounds like very common sense approach. If we can remove the benign actors and recreational enthusiasts from flying their drones we can look to see if Iran or Venus or L Ron Hubbard are sending out their UAVs from motherships. Of course that kind of methodical approach isn't quite as exciting of a reason as other theories.

Prince Alberts Revenge20 Dec 2024 6:49 a.m. PST

I should add that I'm not saying government responses to the drones have been sufficient just that there is context. I'm also more concerned about other issues current going on significantly more than Iranian motherships (even as titillating as a topic as it is) such as the Chinese hack of US telecoms.

But I digress, it's been enough water-cooler political chat for me. I come here for the hobby and try my best to get bogged down in the political chitchat. My opinions on these things are no more important than anyone else's and I have far too much to paint to waste on this discourse.

35thOVI Supporting Member of TMP20 Dec 2024 6:55 a.m. PST

Well I may know why both Biden and Harris came back:

"Biden-Harris admin rolls out another $4.28 USD billion in student loan handouts
The action brings the total loan forgiveness approved by Biden to nearly $180 USD billion for nearly 5 million borrowers.
….
"With the approval of another $4.28 USD billion in loan forgiveness for nearly 55,000 public servants, the Administration has secured nearly $180 USD billion in life-changing student debt relief for nearly five million borrowers," Cardona said."

""The relief announced today includes both borrowers who have benefitted from the Administration's limited PSLF waiver, a temporary opportunity that ended in October 2022, as well as from regulatory improvements made to the program during this Administration," the release said."

The debt is not cancelled, it is now just spread out for all of us to pay the debt. Particularly aggravating for those of us who paid our own tuitions or paid back loans ourselves. 😡

"I'm also more concerned about other issues current going on significantly more than Iranian motherships (even as titillating as a topic as it is) such as the Chinese hack of US telecoms."

I would think you would be equally as concerned about the "known" Chinese drones spying on our bases, Chinese citizens infiltrating our borders and Chinese owning property next our bases. To me, seems like a very serious threat.

"There have been hundreds, perhaps thousands, of drone incursions at remote military installations, drawing little public attention. But they have disrupted sensitive operations, according to the Pentagon officials who spoke to USA TODAY on condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive military operations."

"A critical concern: Foreign adversaries have identified a "seam" in the U.S. response to drone surveillance. U.S. military forces have the authority to take down drones, blasting them from the sky or severing their navigational links by radio jamming, if the aircraft penetrate airspace over a base and pose a threat."

""Just as no one thought about airliners causing harm before 9/11, we need to recognize the negative potential and the lethal potential of drones that we're seeing around the world in their use for military and hostile purposes," he said."

"In recent years, drones swarmed the site of a planned military exercise, forcing U.S. Northern Command, responsible for protecting the homeland from attack, to delay the exercise, one official said."

For a USA Today article, there is a lot in here.

This article expresses many of mine, our military and some politicians concerns.

As I posted on another thread here.

Remember also that the CIA has backed ISIS and AQ in Syria, while the Pentagon has backed Kurdish factions.

Well the US troops were there to keep an eye on ISIS. If they started trouble. The Turks had a problem with the Kurds. A lot of gray areas over there.

I think Trump was very clear that we will not be involved. In all CAPS.

Yes but I think he was saying No more troops on the ground, no escalation. No nation building … But airstrikes, drones, etc. I'm sure will continue. And it is a priority to keep eyes on ISIS. Plus, the Kurds are guarding 1000s of ISIS prisoners.

AFAIK there are 2500 troops in Iraq and Jordan.

From Military.com – Pentagon reveals 2000 US troops are in Syria. The number most quoted was only 900. This reflects the article 35th posted.

Back to drones. Ya-know, maybe it was a mistake not to let the give-a-mint shut down. We could have then answered the question as to whether they're fed drones or not by counting the change in the number of drones up. No quid, no quad.

Oh, great. Local cops, never trained to observe, classify and identify flying objects because 99.9% of all crimes occur on the ground or at least from buildings, will be authorized to shoot at objects flying over Long Island, when the cops don't know what they are. Which will be most of anything in the air (see training comment).

That's gonna end really, really well. [/snark]

Don't worry. They'll be an announcement from the White House which will clarify it all: "Don't! Sit! I was shot once with oil cancer bullets by Cornpop! That's bad! Really bad. No joke.
