This is going to get interesting as how will Iran supply Hezbollah now? The rebels don't seem to be too friendly towards Iran or Hezbollah. |
Legion 4 | 08 Dec 2024 12:33 p.m. PST |
It makes a lot of sense. The reports are the FSA, etc. are blocking Iran's supplies going Hezbollah. |

From the river (Euphrates) to the sea (Mediterranean) the kingdom of Israel. Next annex Gaza!! |
Legion 4 | 08 Dec 2024 1:21 p.m. PST |
Regardless, the IDF is going to have to reoccupy Gaza, as they left in 2006. Leaving Hamas, etc. to their own devices. Which with Iran's support caused 7 Oct. and the battle with Hezbollah, etc. … Israel can't just leave Gaza … and let Hamas, etc. reconstitute again. GEN Ret McMasters interviewed on FOX today said the only way to have peace in the area is Hamas must be eliminated. Makes sense … Had the current POTUS not given Iran billions of $ to Iran. Much of it used to support islamic terrorists in the area, e.g. Hamas, Hezbollah, etc. This could have happened a couple of years ago. And thousands of dead Israelis and Palestinians would still be alive … |

The new neighbor will likely be worse than the old neighbor so why not use a period of turmoil to seize a strategic buffer zone. |
Richard Brooks | 09 Dec 2024 4:48 p.m. PST |
"And thousands of dead Israelis and Palestinians would still be alive …" Or, you know, stop stealing Palestinian land and detaining and torturing Palestinians for no reason then pretending anyone who objects is a terrorist. That might have saved tens of thousands of lives |

As before: Hamas surrenders, it all ends. |

Or, you know, stop stealing Palestinian land and detaining and torturing Palestinians for no reason then pretending anyone who objects is a terrorist. That might have saved tens of thousands of lives Since no one can turn back time … that option I think has passed. Especially after 7 Oct. No matter what happens, Gaza has been destroyed, thousands of dead. Hamas and Iran's plans have failed. Hamas has set back any workable plan for some sort of lasting peace for many decades. |

Before long Israel will be fighting everyone in the Middle East. Hyperbole of course ? Many of Israels old enemies, e.g. Egypt, Jordan, etc. may not be BFFs, but they know after fighting 4 wars since '48. They have seen the light. It is better to do a little business, etc. than slaughtering each other. Where the Arab Armies suffered much more than the IDF. As well as captured some land in those which they still hold. At this point Israel's only enemies are Hezbollah, Hamas, the Houthis and Iran. Syria no longer is threat right now. But we will have to see how Syria turns out. The many different factions may be too busy killing each other than to actually start shooting at the IDF. Iran's poorly thought-out plan to start a major war with Israel and drag in many other moslem nations has pretty much been a failure. Hamas has been all but eliminated Hezbollah has lost much of its leadership and many missle supply point destroyed. Iran has to withdraw their IRGC for Syria. They all know with the new POTUS things will change … And not for the better for those moslem nations that believe they can take advantage the USA leaders. As they have over the last 4 years. |

Israel is being very wise to destroy as much of Syria's military capacity and strategic systems before the Jihadis can take over. Netanyahu likened it to how the British sunk the Vichy French fleet before the Germans could take it over. Also, they know Syria has become a more thorny problem. It was far easier to deter a single dictator who valued his life than the dozens of religious and ethnic factions who will be fighting in Syrian Civil War 2.0 -- some of whom have already said they want to wage jihad against Israel. I hope the Christians, Alawaite and Yazidi minorities can run to safety! |

Agreed … With all the different factions in Syria; e.g. 4-5 different religions, as many or more different tribes, ethnicities, etc. reminds me of the old Yugoslavia after it broke up. But worse … anything in that region, in the Mid East, when it comes to religion, tribes, ethnicities, jihadis, etc. it is almost always worse … |

I hear there are "deep sinking feelings" in the Syrian Navy. |

Not actually a "syrious" navy…. Some old Russian missle boats and a few other small craft, I beleive. |

Well they can always build a glass bottom boat to view their fleet now. 😉 |
