I watched a show that said there is evidence that they made it back to land. Then I had to go and didn't see how it turned out.

My father was on a Navy PB4Y-2 out of Bermuda that was one of the searchers. He always said that unless you've actually tried to find something on the ocean from a plane, it is hard to conceive of just how hard it is to see anything.

I had a 2nd cousin who was on the PBM Mariner flying boat rescue plane that was lost looking for flight 19. Not that I ever meet the man, or anything.

Funny it get's posted here and two people who were related to the incident by blood are on this site.

I remember during the early 1970s the whole Bermuda Triangle thing was such a big deal – lots of books and ABC Movies of the Week.
