Here is my next YouTube where I review the models I will be using for my Salerno project. In order to get the proper marks of the tanks, I will be using a combo of plastic and 3D printed resin plus some minor scratch building here and there. I will do a more in depth build and paint video on each vehicle type as I go. The main German armoured vehicles for this period were Panzer IV Ausf. G and H's plus StuG III Ausf. G assault guns. This suits me fine as I have always liked Panzer III's and IV's more than Panthers and Tigers for some reason. The main American tracked vehicles for Operation Avalanche were M4 and M4A1 Shermans along with M-10 tank destroyers. In order to get earlier Shermans I had to go with 3d prints, but I am not disappointed. here is the link to the YouTube video: youtube.com/watch?v=JmkjYfmKmO4&t=17s |

I am interested to see these when you get some painted. I have the same sort of issue with the GHQ 1/285th Shermans on the hatch. It does seem more common to see them opened from side to side rather than front to back. |
