Help! I've been in a deep slump for a couple weeks now. I've got minis for a good variety of periods, all painted and ready to use. I've got rules I like, plenty of assorted terrain, but no enthusiasm. I've even set up a big game using my Copplestone Little Interwar Minis. Planning to use TSATF. Table looks good, all ready to go, but I'm just not feeling it. |

Watch a movie. Don't force it. We do this for fun not a job. I've been retired for 6 years now and I'm in no hurry to complete my final goal. |

I'm trying to do other hobby related stuff making terrain, painting etc. I've been watching a lot of movies and reading. |

When I hit this type of situation I do some Computer gaming. I am a big fan of Medieval 2 Total War, Rome 2 Total War, Attila, Empire, and Napoleon Total War. The mods are simply incredible. All deeply discounted on sale on the Steam Autumn sale too…plus Ultimate General Civil War and Ultimate General Gettysburg if you are an ACW enthusiast. When I tire of the computer gaming, I find that I am ready to get back into tabletop minis. |

It does indeed. Does Twilight for a Gentleman's War actually exist? |

I often hit slumps. I just try and do something different from the thing I'm bored with. If all else fails I'll find something to binge watch on TV and soon realise that is a complete waste of time get back to painting and gaming! As someone else commented, a bit a computer gaming can be an entertaining diversion. Or you could rebase an entire Army.. |

I have been a slump myself these last few weeks, so I decided to make some terrain and slowly I am feeling I need to get back into another game. So doing something different seems to be a common suggestion of others. |

A couple of weeks is nothing. Interest and enthusiasm will wax and wane.Best to just stop thinking about it. |

Well, I'll admit, that I am undergoing treatment for prostate cancer, which includes hormone pills. A major side effect I discovered is depression! |

Step away for a bit, listen to some music that you listened to when you were younger, take some deep breaths, and then go get yourself some new paints and brushes, and get back to it. It will all come back around. |

I could do something I've been thinking about. One of my Copplestone armies is done in blue trousers with red seam stripes, not quite an interwar feel. I could re do them green? |

Does Twilight for a Gentleman's War actually exist? It's in a rough draft. I'll contact Matt and see what he has. |

Ah, okay. I'm pretty happy with the rules I have, but I'll always take a look. |

@nnascati – best wishes for your treatment. When everything's back to normal you'll click right back into it I'm betting. |

Thanks 20thMaine, now that I know the medication is part of the problem I'm very hopeful. |
