Hey folks,

Thought it might be worth mentioning that it looks like tiny wargames is under new management. Not sure what this means for existing orders and I don't think I'll be ordering again but wanted to bring it up for those not on facebook

Marcus Brutus28 Nov 2024 1:30 p.m. PST

Richard has claimed once before that Tiny Wargames was under new management so I'll believe it when I see it. Nothing on the website that I could see to suggest any change. But if there has truly been a change in management then that is good news.

No thanks already burned that bridge

I thought people might like to know that I ordered an 8' x 4' mat with 4 inch square grid from Tiny Wargames last Friday (29th November). Monday I received a friendly note from Wesley saying the mat was in the post. It arrived today (Wednesday) as ordered. In the past I have had problems with Richard like many others, but I was very impressed with Wesley's customer service and will order again.

Cheers
Anthony

Thank you. I shall place them on the "some day you ought to…" list.

Sadly, for a guy with as many miniatures as I have, it's a fairly long list.

Marcus Brutus04 Dec 2024 7:26 p.m. PST

My question Anthony is how do you know that Wesley isn't Richard in disguise. The reason I ask is that tinywargames.co.uk has no information about a change in ownership/management. I would have thought that this kind of important news would be on the front page of the website. There was no notice on TMP about a change in ownership. The Facebook page is private so it can't be easily accessed. There was no "press" release of any type that I've found to corroborate any change in Tinywargames management.

IUsedToBeSomeone05 Dec 2024 2:47 a.m. PST

Their contact address has moved from Swanley to Hull.

But they should have more contact details on their site about who they are.

English Thegn05 Dec 2024 11:22 a.m. PST

Hi Marcus Brutus

Good question-I don't know who Wesley is, only that this time I experienced excellent service unlike some occasions in the past. I was also sent a discount voucher which I am keen to use!

Cheers
Anthony

The curious can always go to the (freely available) Companies House registry for information in such cases:

I remember a restaurant in town changed hands recently. The quality of this restaurant had seriously eroded over the past few years. Immediately big banners went up saying "Under New Management." I'd expect to seeing something like that at tinywargames.co.uk. There is something that doesn't seem right to me. We will see.

Marcus Brutus07 Dec 2024 2:50 p.m. PST

The link from Col. Bogey shows that Richard Bailey is the current owner of Tinywargames. Hmmh.

IUsedToBeSomeone08 Dec 2024 3:24 a.m. PST

It is perfectly possible to have sold the business without selling the limited company (in fact that is normal in the Wargames Industry).

Tiny Wargames Ltd is marked as dormant.

Marcus Brutus09 Dec 2024 5:15 p.m. PST

I don't disagree with that but I'd still expect some announcement on the website about the business being sold.

Nzoldager13 Dec 2024 6:46 p.m. PST

After seeing a post about a possible change of ownership i had some hope,

Sorry but i am still getting email responses from Richard stringing me along via email for my £220.00 GBP order from April!

So no change of ownership i fear.

Volleyfire30 Dec 2024 5:16 a.m. PST

I just received via a friend an email from the new owner of Tiny, Wesley Fitton, who apparently bought the business at the end of August in good faith, only to discover that the sales data was inaccurate and the company's reputation was damaged. He says he is pursuing Richard Bailey for damages as Richard is refusing to cooperate amicably and wishes anyone who has been awaiting orders to contact him so he can construct a case to take to Court. Apparently Mr Bailey has 13 email addresses (!!) connected with Tiny and may have continued trading as Tiny even after selling the business. Mats are made by a third party so any money paid to them cannot be recovered apparently.

Marcus Brutus02 Jan 2025 9:48 a.m. PST

That is really interesting Volleyfire!

Volleyfire02 Jan 2025 3:40 p.m. PST

Dear Wargamers
I'm writing to share an important update about Tinywargames and to address concerns that may impact some of our customers.
As of the end of August 2024, I officially took ownership of Tinywargames. I purchased the company in good faith, trusting the representations made by the previous owner, Richard Bailey. However, it has become evident that the company was mis-sold to me based on inaccurate sales performance data and a reputation that does not align with reality. I am now in the process of pursuing legal action against Richard, who has refused to resolve these issues amicably.
Since taking over, I have become aware of numerous orders placed and paid for under Richard's ownership that were never fulfilled. While I am not legally responsible for any sales made before my ownership, I am committed to assisting customers where possible to help resolve these issues. If you are affected, please provide the following details:
• Your full name
• Order number (if available)
• Date of purchase
• Items ordered and payment method used
Please email this information to Sales@tinywargamesinfo.com, and I will review your case personally. Please note that any premium mats ( Cloth, rubber, neoprene, velour and fleece) are manufactured by a third party and are not able to be resent or refunded.
It has also come to my attention that Richard has continued to fulfill orders using one of his many Tinywargames email addresses—there are over 13, which is highly unusual for a small company. If you have ordered and paid for a premium gaming mat (cloth, rubber, neoprene, velour and fleece ) since September 2024 and have not received your order, please be aware that this transaction occurred outside of Tinywargames.
I have received no funds from these sales, and as such, there is unfortunately nothing I can do to resolve these cases. I recommend contacting Richard directly at the email address you used to place your order, such as tinywargamesuk@gmail.com. This situation is not only a breach of legality but also a reflection of Richard's disregard for ethical business practices.
In light of these troubling revelations, I suspect this may not be the first time Richard has misrepresented or even sold Tinywargames. If you have any additional information that could support my case against him—such as past interactions, unusual patterns in communications, or any knowledge of previous ownership changes—I would be deeply grateful if you could come forward.
Please email any details to sales@tinywargamesinfo.com Every piece of information, no matter how small it may seem, could help strengthen my legal case and hold Richard accountable for his actions.
I want to assure you that I am doing everything I can to keep Tinywargames alive despite the significant challenges I inherited. Rebuilding trust and repairing the company's reputation takes time, and with a customer base far smaller than what was advertised to me, the road ahead will not be easy. That said, I remain committed to providing the best service possible and to restoring the values that Tinywargames was built on.
Your patience, understanding, and continued support mean the world to me during this difficult time. If you have any concerns or questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Thank you for giving Tinywargames a chance to move forward. If you do decide to make a purchase, please use the coupon code Monday for 10% off
Happy Holidays,
Sincerely,
Wesley Fitton
Owner, Tinywargames

English Thegn06 Jan 2025 5:37 a.m. PST

Thanks Wesley for your excellent customer service (and discount coupons!).

For the benefit of TMPers I would like them to know how you dealt with a mistake in my second order. As you know I ordered an 8' x 4' grass mat with a 17cm square grid. It was a Christmas present from my wife and arrived on 24 December, less than a week after I ordered it. When I unwrapped the mat on Christmas Day, I found the square grid was missing. I e-mailed you on Boxing Day, not expecting any reply until after the Christmas/New Year period was over. I was amazed when you replied to me a few hours after my message, agreeing to refund me the return postage for the incorrect mat and sending me a correct mat the same day. The correct mat arrived on 30 December, just four days after our e-mail exchange. I have never had any wargames company in the past respond to an enquiry during the Christmas period, especially on one of the Christmas bank holidays, so I for one can see that you are a very different businessman from Richard. I wish you well and very much hope that you will succeed where Richard failed.

Best wishes
Anthony

I've just googled Tiny wargames and all I'm getting is 404 message.

Nzoldager22 Jan 2025 5:57 p.m. PST

Wesley, sorry that you have been dragged down by Richard's continued fraud. I will send you some details of my order from last year which lost me over £220.00 GBP and was a very frustrating process of continued lies from Richard.

Announcement: Closing Tinywargames

Dear Customers and Supporters,

After many years of dedication to the wargaming community, I have made the difficult decision to close Tinywargames. This business has been a labor of love, and while there have been many highs, the increasing negativity and challenges from a small but vocal minority of the community have made it impossible to continue with the same passion and energy.

Over the years, Tinywargames has achieved so much. We created over 400 unique products, attended 100 shows, generated £750,000.00 GBP in sales, and served over 12,500 customers worldwide. We even had the honour of creating the world's biggest wargame mat! These milestones are something I will always be proud of, and I am incredibly grateful to the customers who supported us and helped make these achievements possible.

We recently launched Warmats as a new product to provide something fresh for the hobby, but even that has been overshadowed by the ongoing negativity. Constructive feedback is always welcome, but the level of toxicity from a minority has been relentless, causing immense stress and even impacting my health. It's simply not worth it anymore.

We even explored selling the business to another party in hopes they could take it forward, but unfortunately, they only made things worse and created even more issues. This experience has been incredibly disappointing and has reinforced my decision to step away from Tinywargames entirely.

You only have to look at companies like Games Workshop, a billion-pound business, to see that even the most successful brands are not immune to harsh comments from communities. However, for a small business like ours, this kind of negativity is exhausting and unsustainable. A handful of negative customers have finally pushed me over the edge.

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported Tinywargames over the years. To our loyal customers and those who truly valued our products—you have been the reason we kept going, and I cannot thank you enough.

Thank you to those who supported us through the years—you've made a difference, and I will always appreciate it.

Sincerely,

Richard Bailey

The Waving Flag31 Jan 2025 8:39 a.m. PST

Hmm! If the business was sold how can it close?

Tinywargames31 Jan 2025 8:48 a.m. PST

"The business was sold to W Fitton in July 2024 , but unfortunately, the situation did not work out as expected. Due to complications, I have decided to step away entirely, and Tinywargames will no longer continue under my ownership or operation." Legal proceedings are in hand.

Marcus Brutus01 Feb 2025 11:52 a.m. PST

Surely, if it was only a few negative voices like mine on TMP there would be no reason to close the business. The rot must be a lot larger than is being admitted to. The fact that Bailey has another website, Warmats, on the go even as he sold Tinywargames speaks volumes to me.

The H Man02 Feb 2025 12:21 a.m. PST

Maybe Wesley trying to help people has made it harder to transfer "customers" to the new business?

Best to kill the original, so it can't retain them.

Can't wait for the film!

Go to tinysites.wixsite.com/update and see for yourselves that

1. Tinywargames is using an alternate web address

2. There is a invitation to redirect to Warmats

Mr. Bailey seems to be up to his shannanigans again.

Tinywargames04 Feb 2025 3:58 a.m. PST

Warmats was an old website associated with TINYWARGAMES it does not exist get your facts straight you fool.

Marcus Brutus04 Feb 2025 12:39 p.m. PST

The Warmats website was working only a few days ago. You must have just taken it down. You even admitted to this in your above announcement on January 30, 2025 when you said, "We recently launched Warmats as a new product …."

I note that Wesley Fitton mentioned above the following, "It has also come to my attention that Richard has continued to fulfill orders using one of his many Tinywargames email addresses—there are over 13, which is highly unusual for a small company." The idea that Bailey would have several website stores is hardly out of character to what Fitton describes.

I don't know Richard Bailey personally, although I did have some dealings with him through Tinywargames. You come across to me as a scoundrel and a blight on our hobby. Shame on you.

Tinywargames04 Feb 2025 1:15 p.m. PST

Well you are entitled to your opinion. But I can't reason with an idiot. For some
Reason you have some personal vendetta against me. I'm glad I'm out of the industry after ten years. The only blight is people like you who spout unfounded crap online and trying to ruin small businesses. Look at games workshop feedback and reviews , full of one star keyboard warriors like you. Shame on you Mr one star.

Tinywargames04 Feb 2025 1:17 p.m. PST

And of course we had other websites pointing to TINYWARGAMES over ten years. It's called marketing you dumb ass. What's your job? I bet you could t build a business from scratch and design 400 products and get 13000 customers? Or do you even have a job?

Marcus Brutus04 Feb 2025 7:09 p.m. PST

We have heard on this thread the accusations of Wesley Fitton (who recently bought Tinywargames.) We have NXSmiggy, Royston Papworth, Aaron XR, BrunoS, Nzoldager plus many others on TMP who have had their money taken with no mats to show. If it hadn't been for Paypal I would have joined this illustrious group. We have a temporary/fake tinywargames web address which points to Warmats. How about coming clean with these guys and delivering to them what is owed?

Tinywargames05 Feb 2025 9:04 a.m. PST

You have no idea what you are talking about I don't even know who you are. Go away!

Marcus Brutus05 Feb 2025 8:21 p.m. PST

I think I do know what I am talking about. I have seen people like you take advantage of people's basic decency and trust. You've abused it. I see that you are not prepared to make right your wrongs. That is too bad because I find gamers especially forgiving.

Tinywargames06 Feb 2025 12:38 a.m. PST

Are you stalking me?

Just a few Orcs06 Feb 2025 11:07 a.m. PST

Does anybody else find it strange that a person who is closing down a wargames business and claims ill health due to the stress of running the said wargames business is still bothering to regularly log onto TMP?

Having logged on he is then causing himself more stress by heatedly arguing the toss with people he claims not to know and hurling insults at them.

He then tells them to "go away" and questions if the person he has been arguing with for days is "Stalking " him.

This is very bizarre behavior, surely the obvious answer as he is leaving the wargames industry is to not log in and cancel his membership of TMP.

In fact the editor should revoke Tiny Wargames membership to stop the arguments and insults.

Tinywargames07 Feb 2025 3:52 a.m. PST

The editor should revoke Marcus Brutus for bullying

Marcus Brutus07 Feb 2025 11:50 a.m. PST

Lets party with Cossacks Supporting Member of TMP15 Feb 2025 3:01 a.m. PST

I seem to have joined the ranks of people who have placed order pre the apparent sale, but been left without order fulfilment.

There was an invitation by a person named Wesley Fitton to meet unfulfilled orders (provided they were not to be completed by 'third parties') and I duly responded to what I thought was a genuine invitation by a wrong footed purchaser of the business.

Then nothing, not even a statement that my order was from a third party.

I have a very high degree of scepticism as to whether there was a sale. I simply have no idea. All I can say is from my experience, which I have set out above.

It is possible that a sale took place to Wesley who was mislead and who is genuinely seeking legal redress. It is also possible that the apparent seller is a rogue and has contrived the whole story to seek to sanitise a dreadful conclusion to his business.

All I know is that I would still like the mat I paid just under GBP for.

What are the best alternatives for custom mats?

My question Anthony is how do you know that Wesley isn't Richard in disguise.

I asked this back in early December. I am still wondering if we are dealing with one person and not two. Otherwise, why wouldn't Wesley have come on to TMP directly to announce his takeover of TW. The TW website had no announcement that the company was under new management. Sorry Cossack you got caught up in this and trusted someone who isn't worthy of trust.

Perhaps it's like in Jim Carreys Grinch??

"I'm an idiot!"

"Your an idiot!"

Similar to Gollum??

Rubbing a mat,

"My precious…"

I don't know, just making entertainment.

It probably is two guys.

But it's more fun if it's one!

Presumably they are both reading, as they come to argue.

Hopefully one will return.

Perhaps one eats all the others, like in evolution??

"There can only be one."

Nah, they'll be back.., "and in greater numbers."
