A good sign, I think. I noticed in the following article that the NavSec appointee coming up seems especially unqualified for the job. He was a major campaign donor, that seems to be about it. |

Being a manager or a government department head does not necessary require a lot of experience with the specific industry or government branch being managed. And we all know what the job of the Navy is, so it's not like that's a mystery. US subs go to Guam all the time while on patrol, it's a nice place to gather fresh foods and expendables. Mike |

A "next generation" attack craft built over a decade ago? It is all relative I suppose. Announcing the movement is either a warning shot move or a shell game distraction or both. Providing known locations on submarines is not a usual USN practice. How does this article or post relate to the new NavSec appointee? I am not sure of the connection. Was this deployment somehow directed by the new administration? |
