Haven't read the books or seen the Netflix series but am familiar with the content. Once pointed out the "problem" in the linked Podcast is blindingly obvious… (Its also why the Modern media cross-post).

For those looking at the run time in horror he deals with the Three Body Problem issue in the first 30 minutes or so.

I have to agree – the Three Body Problem is one of the most tedious books I have ever read – fascinating physics and symbolic thinking, but not exactly the best of writing

That's why the series is so great…the physics is not the main character…

The H Man25 Nov 2024 9:36 p.m. PST

I think Hugh Hefner had it all figured out very nicely indeed.

I rather enjoyed the books, whereas the TV series (inevitably) dumbed the entire thing down, messed with the characters, the timelines, the plot etc

The H Man26 Nov 2024 4:33 p.m. PST

Let me guess, they (no pun intended) renamed it the infinite body problem?

The "problem" is Beniof and Weiss.
Remember them with Season 8 on Game of Thrones? 😱

The H Man for the win, though. Good call.

Don't see a problem..just dont watch it. I tried the first 30-40 min and was bored to tears. Went on to tackle the plastic mountain.
