I have read a number of books on the fighting of escort ships against U-boats and want to ask if you know of any other books that might be good reads. Especially the autobiographies.

Some of my favourites are "50 North" by Easton.
"Escort" by Rainer, and a whole host of others.
My favourites tend to be about the corvettes, frigates, and even ASW trawlers and quite often the Minesweepers in AS roles. I have read quite many so don't be surprised if I have already read them but I am open to hear about anything I haven't stumbled across yet.

I wonder if there are any good acounts about the ASw in the Pacific or the Meditterranean? Or if there are any good reads by the US, Germans, Italians or Japanese?

Any good reads you have stumbled across about small ships fighting to defend their convoys and charges?

Otto Kretschmer wrote his memoir ‘The Goden Horseshoe' and Gunther Prien had his memoir ghost written for him ‘I Sank the Royal Oak'. Obviously th3 letter doesn't cover his later demise.

I haven't read "Escort Commander" since I was a teeneager.
"Shadows on the Horizon" is new to me.
Thank you.
