Last night our club played "Welcome to the Jungle – Part 3." This is usually a Halloween themed game but was delayed this year. As you can see the table was a dense jungle filled with dangerous dinosaurs and a smoking volcano.

We had 11 players, one GM and one spectator. Players had 16 points each. The goal was to get to the volcano and rescue Princess Nyoka, the Jungle Girl.

Besides each other, the jungle was filled with deadly and speedy dinosaurs. These were controlled by the players who had "tokens" they could spend to activate a dinosaur for a turn. Upon activation a playing card was drawn. This indicated any special moves or attacks the dino had, as well as some possible bonuses for the player. Dinosaurs could bite, trample, or tail-swipe.

The GM started us off on turn one, and the race was on. Some players got distracted by the dinos and went hunting instead. Tip: dinosaurs are deadly, FAFO. The rest of us made a bee line for the volcano. Of course, players sent dinos to impede their opponents, with various success.
I was able to sneak past a few dinos and reach the Princess. My Elite Horse had failed to move turn after turn but this proved a blessing. As I retreated with the Princess my units were decimated. We barely managed to reach the horsemen. Princess Nyoka deemed the riders worthy and rode off with them to safety.

As the winner, I got to etch my name on the fabled Golden Banana Trophy. It was my second win in a row – 2023 and 2024. Next year I go for the Threepeat!

Great looking game! Not only are the minis neat, as PzGeneral says, but there are a lot of different figures I would never have thought to put together.
