November Newsletter and Toys for Tots update
Greetings Fellow Gamers,
With a long exhale, HMGS-Midwest is starting to wind down for the end of the year. Our last scheduled events, will be running 6 separate Toys for Tots games in the next 2 weeks. These are designed to be very special games tor support a great cause. What a fantastic way to start the holiday season. Thanks to Battlefront, Games Plus and Grognards for sponsoring this. Even if you have no time to play, try to stop by, and bring a toy.
In other news, We did have a successful Wars in Woodstock, and those who came certainly got their fill of games. Thank you. We also signed up another 100+ gamers for the newsletter, from the MMSI, and Gamehole Con. Welcome, and hope to see you at this Little Wars. Or any of the other upcoming events.
In this issue, we have the first of our Historical Trivia Quizs. This looks to be a a reoccurring feature. Here is a chance to exercise your mental prowess, and knowledge of the obscure. As before we are looking to add our member's AARs, reviews historical essays, and gaming reports. So please participate in this exchange and send us your written thoughts for publication. We are continuing to maintaining our Game Clubs listing, as this is a great place to expand your group.
Be sure to see the upcoming events such as the Game Day at the Kenosha Civil War museum. In the December issue we will publish the upcoming conventions for the 2025, as well as the first teasers for Little Wars.
Take care and hope to see you at least one of the Toys for Tots events.
