🤔 innocent women and children dying and suffering. An "evil regime practicing genocide!", upon innocent civilians. Sound familiar? Will there be outcries and protests? Will there be calls of genocide by the West… or anywhere else for that matter? Or will Turkey not be held to the same standards as Israel? Is Turkey not white enough? Are the Kurds not dark enough? Is Turkey an accepted religion of the non-colonialist? Maybe it's because the Turks aren't Jews with the backing of the US. 🤔 My bet, this will be ignored, as the genocides in Africa and elsewhere are ignored, by the MSM and elite Liberals. But maybe I'll be wrong. Subject: Turkish strikes in Syria cut water to one million people link |

Turkey is also reportedly the new home for Hamas leadership, after getting kicked out of Qatar. |

If they are not white they are viewed as the oppressed. The US/liberal/elite are never concerned when one oppressed nation kicks the crap out of another oppressed nation. Now if an oppressor, ie US or west, does it then look out. |

So are you saying this is, or isn't ok, in your opinion? |

I speak of hypocrisy. If one is outraged about the civilians of Palestine, one should be equally outraged about the Kurds or the Nigerian Christians, to name only a few. Otherwise it is only faux outrage. |

Türkiye is a NATO country. It has the right to do whatever it wants. Doesn't it? |

"Türkiye is a NATO country. It has the right to do whatever it wants. Doesn't it?" Not the point of this post. Hypocrisy of those protesting Palestinian "genocide" is. |

Turkish strikes in Syria cut water to one million people They never were "besties" probably since the fall of the Ottoman-Turk Empire after WWI. But probably like many in that region. They have hated each other before that. The region is full of factions that dislike other ethnicities, religions, tribes, etc. Not the point of this post.Hypocrisy of those protesting Palestinian "genocide" is. Turkey may be NATO, but they can react to certain events without NATO being involved. NATO has no interest in going into Syria. They have been fighting a civil war for decades, IIRC… Genocide seems to be the go to word for some …Albeit many non-combatants have been killed, maimed etc. In many states in the region. Seems it does not matter to some, as the conflicts continue … |

I too get fed up with the media bias. Also the bandying about of terms like 'Genocide' which of course is: 'The deliberate killing of a large number of people from a particular nation or ethnic group with the aim of destroying that nation or group.' So Rwanda, The Holocaust, and similar definitely qualify, but not Gaza. |

Yes, but not Gaza … The media is generally very biased as we know. They only report things that fit their narrative and agenda. Been that way for a number of years. From an article I read online- E.g.: Walter Cronkite Cronkite was a much-beloved network anchor who began the politicization of America's news media with his infamous broadcast from Vietnam that described the Tet Offensive as a major victory for the Communists and significantly turned the gullible American public against the Vietnam War. In fact, the Tet offensive was a military disaster for the NVA and Viet Cong, later admitted by North Vietnamese military leaders. Decades later Cronkite admitted he got the story wrong. But it was too late. The damage was done. |

I heard a report that the US struck some targets in Syria … Supply/Logistics locations ? Can anyone confirm ? And the ICC is about as fair and balanced as the UN … That is why the US and Isreal didn't sign on to it. |

Based on past events this may be a workable solution. As in the ROK, Cyprus, etc. As I have posted before, I had two tours on the Korean DMZ. '84-'85. The war ended in only a truce in the Summer of '53. Not much had changed with borders, etc. So I think it could work in Ukraine. At least it may keep the Russians from trying it again after they rebuild, refit etc. Maybe in about a decade. Of course, Putin may be gone by then. But nothing guarantees the next Russian leader wants to be Czar 2.0 or with it 3.0 or ? Based on the end of the Cold War, it was only a short break. And the Russians had built up their forces. Putin and his cronies started it all over again … So again, don't trust the Russians. |
