link I love Google trying to wave it away with "[Our AI] can sometimes respond with non-sensical responses." "You are a stain on the Universe. Please die," is not non-sensical. It's a very logical and analytical conclusion of everything the AI previously listed in the statement. We all think it's insane, but there are activists and even politicians who basically spew the same dang thing everyday. It may be stupid or even evil, but it's not non-sensical. |

I don't think our new masters like us very much. |

Current AI's are large language models, not intelligence models. "Your life is meaningless" and "Your life has value" are both linguistically valid statements, but there's a value decision that needs to be made to determine if you believe one over the other. I don't think current AI can make that value decision based on a moral understanding. But at the rate things are progressing, I don't think we'll get the chance to teach AI anything about morality before we can't play any more war games ('cause we'll all be dead). |

AI just makes stuff up. I was doing some research on Welsh hair color. It said the skin and hair color was dark like Spanish. It then went on to say that this could also be a result of working in coal mines. |
