As usual, Max does a good job with the history behind his "recipes". He traces cooking on the home front from the beginning to the end. He doesn't spare the lengths the Germans went to to rob occupied countries.

Very interesting. I'm glad he pointed out all the negative aspects of the "rationing" system.
