Abstract: This is a simple overview of the development of the Roman legion. The increase in the size of the Roman legion was coordinated with the movement of the Pythagorean cosmos system. As the number of centuries in the 35 tribes of Rome were increased with the movement of the Pythagorean cosmos, this resulted in the size of the Roman legion also being increased.

Spurius Ligustinus' life story covers about a paragraph in Livy, dealing with his military promotions over time. I hope the author provides how many campaigns a soldier served, and in what rank in the century the soldier was stationed in relation to the number of campaigns he had served.
