What is the largest figure scale which you use in your WWII miniature wargaming? (Land warfare, not air or naval.)

28mm for foot, for vehicles 15mm

I like 28mm for both figures and vehicles.

Agree…28mm for figures and 1:48 scale for vehicles.

We regularly play with 54mm figures and 1/48 vehicles (trust me, it works) but the largest stuff I actually own now is 15mm. I downsized a few years ago and my 20mm and 54mm stuff now resides elsewhere. Never got on with 28mm.

Largest figure scale SO FAR. I have a 3D printer and weakening eyes. And a lot of Heroscope tiles.

I want to hang with the 7 who said 1/35. That would be amazing, assuming we had a gym in which to play a game.

Mister Tibbles, here is a link to my Army Men game photos. Pure fiction, Green forces invading the Tan's city atop a hill. Table size was 12 feet wide by 30 feet long, inside my nephew's woodworking shop (heated, insulated). We played a 2nd such game, later on. He provided the plywood sheets with indoor/outdoor carpet glued atop them.

We played the second game over a weekend, initially with five players; on Sunday, we only had two die-hards willing to continue the battle to the bitter end. The Green Invaders won an empty victory as their losses were excessive: it was nip and tuck, every time a unit type activated. The rules used were my own, self-published rules from 1998. It was a childhood dream come true. It was more fun than a Human Being ought to be allowed! Cheers!
