I see no value in this, or anything similar.
Yes, it might be very skillfully sculpted or painted. I still see no value in it.

As a demonstration of technical skill, it is impressive.

To me dioramas, like decorated bases, are too static for wargaming use. You can't move the dynamic bits of the event represted around like you would need to in a game. Also, some of the techniques don't transfer to more modular implementaitons of the same thing.

I'm not a big fan of prone figures for the same reason. Over the span of a typical game for me, the units they represent would spend much more time moving around, and less time prone. That said I make sure I have them as "swap in" figures. Sinper A is done sneaking around in the brush on the ridge; I'll spend this turn to swap him out with a prone sniper then start sniping next turn. I'll swap him back out when he gets up to hightail it out.

The temple terrain and figures (other than the prone one) would be useful for me, although I already have similar.

I see no value in value judgements that don't describe the underlying value system or at least its intersection with the subject of discussion.

Until you get into WWI, WWII and beyond, when infantry are generally prone when holding a position.

I'm also against prone figures (as well as kneeling figures) in any time period.

They just don't look right moving around the table.

That said, I have found a use for kneeling in my 20mm WWII collection.
I play Rapid Fire and kneeling figures are used for recon type units.
