Today I published a very helpful series showing the "new uniforms" of the Bavarian army in 1799/1800. As this army changed their dress from the old "Rumford" to this new appearance.

What is the likelihood that the rank and file were into the new uniforms by Hohenlinden?

some apparently had still the white coats, as the French mistook them for Austrians

As von Winterfeldt wrote that should be examined in detail, perhaps the regimental histories may provide some information, but I guess, only archival work will definitely answer the question.
