Hi guys

The Sdkfz 8 finished, I'll add a base to it at some stage, I found a nice little model of the Temp Vidal G1200 from wargaming 3D, I'd never heard of this car so did some research, seems it was before its time technology wise, but was under powered, so was turned down by the Heer, however it was picked up by the Kriegsmarine, Luftwaffe and SS, I plan on doing a Kriegsmarine force soon (shore party) I'll research as to whether the Luftwaffe field divisions or Fallschirmjäger ended up with any of these and will go from there, so I printed off 3 in anticipation, it's a cool looking car, so thought I would share.

WEll 30 seconds on Google made me realise that this weird (even described as ugly) vehicle, actually had a lot going for it. The Temp Vidal G1200 had an engine front and back and was excellent on snow, plus many other favourable features.

Where do you find such weird subjects that are unknown to most?

Glad that you do however.

Try summat less obscure maybe? Just imagine, if you can make this,, that no-one does a Sherman II with Direct Vision glacis, as used at Alamein in 1/72. (The cast hull, small hatch, but with those death trap visors in front of the driver and his assistant.)

Yeah, it's a weird thing, many people probably just lump all Sherman's together, a Sherman is a Sherman is a Sherman, which I imagine effects producers, I'm probably an outlier, I like the unusual, sometimes the mundane but overlooked stuff, which is probably reflected in my projects, I can't remember the last time I made a Tiger, or even a Panther for that matter, must be 12-15 years, which reminds me, I should really work on some Tigers, Panthers, and Shermans.
