So who controls the means of production? The warriors who shoot the buffalo or the women who do all the hard work skinning them and preparing the meat?

If you want to eat, you do the work. If you need the buffalo materials for clothing, shelter, etc., you do the work. If a lot of you get together to each do a share of the work, it's easier. It's not Marxism, it's survival. "Intellectual superiors" would get a rude awakening if they were dropped into those circumstances…
