Greetings all!
I'm looking for a little advice, as my Google-fu skills seem to be letting me down. I recently picked up some swashbuckling figures, and have played a game or two with them, including using them in the recently released Devilry Afoot game. What I am looking for now are some unarmed civilian figures of the era. I have some FIW civilian figs, a few of which are unarmed and can be used for a rural setting; however, I am struggling to find suitable unarmed civilian figures for a more urban setting. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Not sure what period you mean by "swashbuckling", but your mention of FIW makes me think maybe you mean 18th-century. If so, Foundry has a whole line of 18th-century civilians, including a "townfolk" pack and also an "aristocrat" pack:

Firelock games has a few and so does Wargames Foundry. If you have access to a 3d printer, there's also a few on myminifactory.

If you're looking 15mm and a little earlier blue moon has some in their three musketeers range.

What size?

Blue Moon pirate range for 18s.

I think Peter Pig makes some 15s.

Old Glory makes some 25s.

Old Glory Blue Moon has a few 28mm sets with dueling chaps. They have removed their coats, so are dueling in their shirts. That makes them less period specific.

Hi Codiver,

I'm in the same journey, I bought recently Devilry Afoot and I'm looking also to 17h century civilians.

What I found are the folowing:

The Clubmen set from Warlord

The settlers from Flint and Feather

Artillery Crew from different companies (Essex even if is a smaller side , make recruits and levies and can be armed with farm tools)

And maybe the most comprehensive and useful for Nick Wright's rules, the civilians, and others witch hunting related figures from Bloody miniatures.

I hope it helps. I will follow this post if others options arose.

Cheers, Alberto

For the 17th century, the Foundry ECW line has two packs of 6 figures each ("villagers" and "civilians"); also the Sedan Chair and "Surgeon Operating" packs from the same line might be of interest.

West Wind and Blue Moon (from Old Glory Minis) have a bunch in their various ranges that would work.

Thanks for all of the replies. I should have specified 25/28mm and 17th Century. The figures I have are the Swashbucklers, Four Musketeers and Cardinal's Guard (and Cardinal Richelieu and Rochefort) from Blue Moon/Old Glory. One of my buddies did pick up the Duelists pack.

In the UK, Warbases now have the Depot Batallion c17th Civilians formerly marketed by Colonel Bills, plus a small range of Mousquetaires/3 Musketeer figures, including a rather nice pack of "Parisian Poor". There are also the ECW civilians in the Redoubt range, although a fair number carry scythes and other agricultural weapons which may or may not be useful. Midlam Miniatures have some vaguely medieval/fantasy villagers which are full of character and many of which can easily carry over to the C17th.
