October Newsletter and Wars in Woodstock update
Greetings Fellow Gamers,
It has been, and still is a busy October. As I type this, we have our members running games at Gamehole Con, and showing the flag at the Military Modeling Show, in Schaumburg.
We did have a very successful Autumn Wars with attendance topping 120, and our Flea Marketers going home very happy. Tabletop Events, helped us immeasurably. What is even better news, is that AW is now self sufficient. We actually made it it into the black. (I know CW, a two figure profit, is not much. But it is still a profit.) This makes your HMGS-Midwest membership one of the best values you can get in the gaming world. Thank you to all the staff, volunteers, GMs and attendees for making this a great happening.
We have the first of our gaming articles appearing this month, and please participate in this exchange and send us your written thoughts for publication. We are also maintaining our Game Clubs listing, as this is a great place to expand your group.
Be sure to see the upcoming events such as the Military Modeling Society's event. Future conventions include, Gamehole Con and Rockcon. No matter where you are there should be something for everyone.
Take care and hope to see you at Wars in Woodstock,
Kevin
