You were asked – TMP link

What is the smallest figure scale which you use in your miniature wargaming? (Land warfare, not air or naval.)

40% said "6mm or 1:285 or 1:300 scale"
26% said "15mm or 1:100 scale"
6% [TIE] said "20mm or 1:72 scale" or "3mm"

None of the above, 1/144 the one true scale.

No longer 1/285, now 10mm.

Disco Joe18 Oct 2024 11:07 a.m. PST

Always interesting to see people answering closed polls. Certainly 6mm is a good scale for people who want to be a WWII field grade or general grade officer. But when you're very mobile--student or soldier, say--nanoscale is your friend.

I never see the active polls. So I comment on closed ones posted here.

Same here.

My smallest scale is 2mm (none of this modern scale creep 3mm stuff!), but my preferred scale is 15mm. I sold all my 20mm and 54mm stuff but still have loads of 6mm.
