Maybe use as terrain dressing for Gotham, or the clock works of a bell tower. Bats has had a few 'encounters' with villains there.

Old multifunction printers are a wealth of neat parts. They take a while to disassemble, but it's a lot of fun. The gears are mostly plastic, but still useful for a lot of things.

Stryderg, yes, I was thinking about some of the traps the villains made that had gears on them, but your idea of the clock works is good too.

ArmymenRGreat very true, I just took apart a shredder for the same reason, big gears on that thing.
