THe story is of a tragic waste of lives and obsolete equipment, followed by USSR paranoia of any attempt to send them aid, if it involved access to harbours or airfields.

I will admit, I had no idea anyone was daft enough to employ the Hampden as a (by definition low level) torpedo bomber.The Devastator sounds a better bet against Zeros
