With Shapeways gone, I don't know where to go for ultramodern 1/3000 naval ships. When I say Ultramodern I mean very ultramodern. Shapeways was a great go to but is now gone. Any recommendations?

I did a C+ Google search and found nothing.

It bears remembering that Shapeways was an intermediary vendor. They hosted IP creator content, rendering IRL models for customers. Those creators are still out there. I have to think that they are trying to reestablish printer relationships to resume getting their files to customers.

"Fortunately," we've been over this ground before. War Times Journal used to produce a 3000 scale line of pre-dreads. They shifted over to producing quite amazing pre-dread digital model "files" and contracted with a high end 3d printer ($95k) to render the models across a range of scales.

"Unfortunately," their 3d printer relationship ended and WTJ was stuck selling their "files" to customers who were stuck trying to print Da Vinci quality files on Fisher-Price quality printers.

WTJ assembled a list of other 3d print vendors who were available to render their digital files.

None of these company's websites have any ultramodern content, but I have to imagine that the content creators displaced from Shapeways are trying to establish a horizontal supply chain through these vendors, and others like them, to try to get their eggs back to market.

Stay vigilant…

ETSY has a lot of printed 3D content. Most is fantasy/sci=fi, but I have seen some land 1/300 modern stuff.
Maybe a search for 1/3000 modern ships?

Go down a scale to 1/2400 and I think GHQ has some.

At 2400 Viking Forge does too. Especially Chinese.

Thanks all. I have a bunch of 1/3000 already for the British, American, Chinese and Russian fleets, including aircraft, so I don't want to start over. I had done various google searches but nothing comes up.

I have my own 3D printers as well, so I am ok to get STL files, it's just that my old go to people on Shapeways are gone and I haven't been able to find them.

Have checked Etsy and other places, but it's really a mixed bag with some over detailed models for 1/3000. I will keep looking.
