Beautiful brush work! Do you find that using just the small, molded figure's base, you have difficulty in moving the figures and keeping them upright? I do… I use square, laser-cut, 20mm – 50mm and larger, as necessary, MDF bases for just that reason. The basing is a part of the rules set I use, which makes the game easier to adjudicate, as well: square bases clearly define frontage, flank, and rear, all of which can have an effect on combat. Looking forward to the Egyptian enemies. I have an idea which figures you will likely be using: Red Box Alliance -- Mummies, Anubis, etc. Cheers! |

Thank you for your comments :) Figures are displayed without bases just for the pictures, and when an army is complete, I base the figures according to the ruleset used. At this scale, I mainly use DBA and l'Art de la Guerre, they use almost the same basing system. Here your are an example of a DBA army on MDF bases:
Without bases, they are impossible to move… Yes, the Alliance figures are among the figures I use, together with Caesar, Hät and Atlantic historical figures. And the god Avatar is a Reaper Bones 28mm one. |
