Has anyone played these? Do you also need to buy the full rue book to play the game?

We play them every week and the Epic rules are the same as the full sized book from what we have found.

Surprisingly they haven't changed units of measurement, or measurement distances at all. Identical to original version.

The Epic version of the rules are a gentle rewrite of the original P&S rules; with a focus on the 30YW and Wars of the Three Kingdoms (aka ECW) so have stripped out some stuff that isn't relevant, and added some things from the supplements. Nothing has really changed other than the prose, and the photos: rules mechanisms etc are identical.

You don't need the big rulebook.
