"It was my turn to put on a club night game at the Bognor club last Monday and this is the AAR. I drew my inspiration from a book I acquired recently; 'Snow, Ice and Sacrifice The Italian Army in Russia 1941-1943' by Ralph Riccio & Massimiliano Afiero. I have only just started reading it but based the game on the early days of the CSIR's part in 'Barbarossa'. In particular the fact that the ambition to motorise the infantry could not be achieved in reality with the transport available. This resulted in transport being switched between units so that they spent alternating periods marching and being transported…"
