The text is quite fascinating. The details of the model construction do remind me of why I stick to 1/72 scale though.In that scale even the much mocked "wargames only" AFVs can be made to look good, with some work and raiding the spares box. For me the Italeri Jumbo is a prime example. 1/35 does require MUCH more work (and room to store the wretched things)

Or go even smaller, for what I have now discovered from this article is a Churchill ARK Mk II (UK Pattern) :~)

I don't think this meets your requirement for Deadhead for looking good, but it definitely is wargames only. I've been designing my own models and having them 3D printed for a while now. I made this to mount on a PSC Churchill

In the 'Funnies' category I also made a CDL, and in the not so funny category I also have a few terrapins for me to do Op Infatuate (Walcheren) with. Shop bought, I've got a few other weird bits of armour too, but the ARK is a bit of a rarity!

If anyone would like the design files just shout.
