Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson become involved for shocking reasons best left to the reader to discover as the story concludes on Manzibar Island, Cliffside Manor, Penang in The Malay States and Bombay.

The story is mostly told by Holmes and Watson narrations through customary captioned color images.
