There are thousands and thousands of unexploded bombs under Germany and Japan. I don't even want to think about Viet Nam. We're assuming they're going to just sit there, but every few years we get reminded that this isn't true. |

One of the thing they are finding is that some of the explosives crystalize over time, making them very unstable. Every year there are a few spontaneous explosions in various places, but unexploded ordnance is getting much more dangerous to deal with. |
