Santa and Teddy Bears

link

In the US there are small amusement parks or even just shops that have a Christmas theme, usually in the form of Santa's workshop. They typically sell Christmas decorations year around, and often unique toys and gift items. Frequently they are in places where is snows that are not far from urban areas that don't get much snow.

There used to be a couple of them in the Los Angeles, California area that families would visit in the winter to see snow, often for the first time for the kids.

Part of my wargame set up is to have an American city, and I decided to include one of these in that. I am also using the same figures for a fantasy game based in part on the books and movie the Wizard of Oz. It will include a Santa's Workshop as part of the Northern People, where Glenda the Good Witch lives. My StreletsR Strelets figures will be Santa's Army since they are dressed in typical Santa Claus attire. Someday I will paint them that way.

I hope you enjoy the process as I document it.

The Santa figure is very nicely sculpted. The detail is well defined, not all mushy.

There is an entire game called " thecwars of Ozz" centered on this with entire factions such as these.
