"Today, one of the most famous unbuilt ships is the "large" cruiser of design 68 from the Monfalcone shipyard, ordered by China. It was an interesting unit, with a displacement of only 4,900 tons, was to carry 4 203-mm guns, 12 120-mm guns and numerous lighter guns and had 28 guns with fairly good armor (pb 100-60, pp. 63-25, page 100, psd 100). The ship was ordered in 1913, but the keel was laid only in 1915. Due to the upheavals of war (including the temporary occupation of the shipyard by the Italians), the ship, of course, was not completed, but in 1918 the idea of ​​​​completing it arose. It appeared for the Austro-Hungarian fleet in a modified form (with unified artillery of 8-9 150-mm guns)…"

Dutch Azië class fast troop transport 1937-1938 (2 units)

The escalating political situation in the Far East, caused by aggressive Japanese policy, prompted the Admiralty to extend the order to a second transport ship of the type already under construction…"
