The illumination of the WW1 National Memorial took place on the night of September 13.  The program was recorded and is available on YouTube -- YouTube link .  The actual program begins about the 15 minute mark and the illumination begins about the 44 minute mark.  But I would encourage you to listen to the first part of the program between the 15 and 44 minute marks, especially the portion where the sculptor, artist Sabin Howard, talks about his journey of sculpting the 60-foot long statue.

It was a very moving program and I encourage everyone to watch it and remember the sacrifices of all those who fought in the "War to End All Wars."
