Same site as before – these look a little better than the USMC figures but the guns are over scale again.

The guns are probably over scale because of a physical issue, same reason that swords, pikes, and spears are always over scale.

If they were in true scale, they would break almost immediately. That and with guns, they might be hard to identify at a true scale… At least for us older gamers.

They have their problems, but I would agree that slightly overscale weaponry is the least of them. There seems to be much flash to remove (OK, that can be done) there are a few daft poses (especially the running gent) but most are very realistic, made to human proportions, unlike many a 28mm Hobbit figure and they do carry a mass of kit. The snag is that any fool can add kit if needed, it s removing it that is well nigh impossible. Compare the figures with those shown on the box cover.

But these are a huge advance on any predecessors (with work)

Agree – I also think the market is used to over scale weapons due to the heroic ranges they grew up with.

Flash is an issue here I agree.

I wonder how convertible they are. The ESCI ones were easy to convert and I was able to get around 50 different figures from them.

Anyway – I'm glad they have been produced.
